WASHINGTON, D.C. (Aug. 22, 2024): Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota accepted the prestigious 2024 Secretary of Defense Employer Support of the Guard & Reserve (ESGR) Freedom Award during a ceremony at the Pentagon in Washington D.C. Blue Cross was one of 15 employers nationwide to receive the award, which is the highest honor given by the U.S. government to employers for their exceptional support of employees serving in the National Guard and Reserve. The ESGR recognized Blue Cross for its commitments to enhanced job protections and continuity of benefits for employees during active service. The Freedom Award will remain on display at the Pentagon.
